Your Itinerary

Day 1

Join Highland Lassie approx. 4 pm for a champagne reception and time to explore the boat prior to a Welcome aboard dinner.

Day 2

Our first day cruising will take us past the Island of Eigg which lies south of the Isle of Skye on our way to the Island of Rum where we disembark for a visit to Kinloch Castle. Rum has one of the largest Manx Shearwater colonies in the world; nearly 1000 red deer and it is known that both Golden & White-tailed Eagles breed here. We also hope to see otters and the Rum pony, re-introduced to the Island by John Bullough in 1988. We anchor ashore the island.

Day 3

Heading south we cruise into the sound of Rhum & Eigg where we get a view of the west side of Eigg as we travel on to the colourful town of Tobermory on the Island of Mull, our anchorage for the night. We will disembark to visit an array of independent shops offering individuality from chocolates, soaps, jewellery etc, the perfect place to pick up that gift or souvenir. Next, onto a tour of Tobermory distillery where we can sample Scotland’s Amber Nectar!

Day 4

Cruising west, then south we pass the east side of Coll known for its sandy beaches which rise to form large sand dunes. We pass the Treshnish Island, Staffa, little Colonsay & Inch Kenneth before anchoring for the night in Loch na Keal.

Day 5

After an early breakfast, we head to the Island of Iona well known for the Abbey, ashore we will take an excursion to Staffa – the island of puffins – and Fingal’s cave, one of the best examples of volcanic basalt columns in the world. This visually astounding geometric sea cave looks like something that should be displayed in a museum of modern art. The astonishing acoustics of the cave inspired Mendelssohn to compose his Hebrides Overture. We anchor for the night in Loch na Lathaich off the Ross of Mull.

Day 6

For our final cruising day, we go east into the Firth of Lorne with the hope of some dolphin spotting. On our way to Oban where we anchor for the night, we call into Loch Spelve to collect mussel for our Farewell dinner. The top quality of Inerlussa mussel farm is award-winning, they are renowned in Scotland for being the first to develop a continuous rope culture system in 2006. They produce 500 tons of mussels per year.
