about highland lassie
From fishing to cruising
Highland Lassie is a sympathetic conversion of a former fishing boat built with windblown oak which follows the line of the hull giving the floating hotel a distinctive and imposing appearance. She is unique in many ways, the only fishing boat in Scotland to be decommissioned and left whole.
A piece of Scotland's history.
This must be Inverness’ best kept secret, my wife and I each had three generous courses, the food, all locally sourced was cooked to perfection and was well presented. The menu although not extensive has something for all tastes and theres also a daily specials board. The venue is small and intimate, its comfortable and welcoming. The service was excellent. Well done I will definitely be back.
We found this gem of a place on Trip… the food was fantastic from the Chowder which was soooooo tasty. The sauce on the mixed seafood was to die for along with the most amazing cabbage ever. We will all be back next time we are in the area.
Very nice food and kind owners.
Very nice food and kind owners. Authentic. They will soon (April 2020) be moving their restaurant in a boat doing cruises on the Loch Ness. Don’t miss the opportunity either now or later.
Had this wee place recommended to us. It turned out to be a great recommendation, the food was amazing. Lovely fresh seafood is their speciality, and it was cooked to perfection. The chowder was delicious and the mixed seafood main was cooked in white wine, cream and tarragon sauce that was right up there with the tastiest I have ever had. Great service, very competitively priced and the couple who run it know what they are doing. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the Inverness area.
This place is fantastic, couldn’t fault anything. Staff were very attentive. We will definitely be back.
